Momo's originated from Tibet have
migrated to be one of the best food in various countries. They are native to
Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal, and India. Momo's are typically steamed dumplings with
various fillings from meat, paneer (a kind of cheese), and different kinds of
vegetables. In Kathmandu, momos are a popular and one of the most consumed
food, which has different kinds of variety. A hungry traveler may track
down some of them but to find out the true taste we have to go deep in local
joints located in different place.
One of the best MOMO's in Kathmandu
Khaarlyoom MOMO, Sukedhara Kathmandu:
Kharrlyoom is a local's favorite
when it comes to momo's. It is a straight forward Momo hot with a relatively
larger space in most normal joints that start serving several varieties of
momo's at around 1 pm every day. This place is something nostalgic something
dear and something Nepali. This place is a MOMO heaven where they serve
different varieties of momo's which include Pork, Buff, Chicken, Veg Momo's.
The Momo's texture is big and
nice. The sauce (aachar) of the momo's are really thick and rich. The momo's is
really juicy when we taste it. The momo's are big and there's a big chunk of
ground meat inside and the aachar (sauce) is absolutely amazing it is a heaven
inside your mouth. The best part of the buff momo's here is that the flavors of
the meat is kept so intact there's more flavor and perfect seasoning. The pork
momo's is exactly the same as buff except for the mince but this one is more
juicer and tinder than the buff meat and it really goes well with the piro
aachar (sauce). The chicken momo's is also very tasty and perfect seasoning for
the meat. The veg momo's filling is also very good, tasty and different from
other momo's.
The service is as fast as can it
get but sometimes it gets really busy. The quality and hygienic of this place
is really good. The price is also reasonable in Khaarlyoom MOMO.
Momo's are the most loved food among different
parts of south Asian countries. They are of different types like steam momo,
fried momo, open momo, jhol momo etc. So taste the food once and you won't
regret it.
